At MITUBACI, a metal carving studio in Sangenjaya, we recently had a customer who had a ring made 12 years ago come in to have it resized from a size 5.5 to a size 7.5. We believe that re-sizing is not just a repair, but an important ceremony to breathe life back into a ring.
However, it is also true that there are physical limitations and risks. To avoid a lifetime of regret, we will honestly tell you the "truth about resizing" from a craftsman's point of view.

MITUBACI's readiness to say "no deadline
In many cases, general jewelry stores and brands delimit the free resizing period to "six months" or "one year" after purchase. However, there is no time limit for MITUBACI.
- Why not set a deadline? We believe that a ring is not a product that is "sold" and then finished, but rather a "lifelong partner" that will walk with the couple for the rest of their lives. 10 or 20 years from now, it is natural for a person's body shape and finger shape to change. We want our customers to continue to use our products for a long time, and that is why we do not set an expiration date on our products.

If you want to get maintenance but don't know where to find a warranty card that is more than 10 years old, don't worry.
- The ring itself is the "certificate": Inside each ring made by MITUBACI is engraved with the MITUBACI logo, which we are very proud of. This engraving is the proof that we have responsibly created this product.

Craftsman teaches "Limitations and Risks of Resizing
The second and subsequent times will be at a cost (or at significant size changes), but there are "physical limitations" that you should be aware of here.
- Significant change risk over #3:.When increasing the size, basically a portion of the ring is cut off and the same material is spliced in and "brazed" (welded) together. Especially if a significant change of size 3 or larger has been made in the past, there is a risk that the welded part will be obscured during the next repair and the ring will collapse when heat is applied.
- Craftsman's true intentions:. We do not want to break your precious rings. Therefore, if we determine that the ring is structurally unsafe, we will either refuse to perform an impossible repair or accept the order with full understanding of the risks involved.
- The "new replacement" option:.If we determine that the strength of the piece cannot be maintained, we can melt down the precious metal and remake it, or provide a separate estimate for a "new replacement". This is a sincere decision to protect the feelings that have been put into the jewel, even if the shape is changed.
Don't put up with "stuck" or "loose"

A: We are sorry, but in order to guarantee the quality of our "in-house forged rings", our workshop only accepts maintenance on rings made by MITUBACI.

A: Yes, we can provide a free consultation. We recommend that you make an appointment in advance so that our craftsmen can diagnose your problem in person. We are a one-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station, so you can stop by smoothly between trips.

A: Basically, we can deliver it on the same day, in about 2〜3 hours (except for special processing). While you two are enjoying lunch at Sancha, we will make it shiny and new.
