At MITUBACI's workshop, you can handcraft your own engagement ring. The basic price of the engagement ring includes a diamond and ring case. It's also possible to create a matching wedding band at the same time. Because MITUBACI is committed to the forging method, it finishes with durability that you can cherish for a lifetime. You can freely engrave text yourself at no additional cost. MITUBACI's craftsmen, who normally handle bespoke jewelry, will provide careful support until completion.

Under the guidance of our craftsmen, you will create your own engagement ring. You may make the ring alone or you may come to the store together to work on it. The engagement ring can be made in platinum or 18K gold with engraving, shaping, welding, surface treatment, and diamond setting, all in about 4 hours. Diamonds are included in the base price. The completed engagement ring can be taken home the same day.
Starting with design consultation, we will walk you through our samples and guide you in choosing your preferred material, ring width, designs, and finishes for your rings.
You can also see and confirm the size and color of the actual diamonds and colored gemstones from our extensive stock.
Make it uniquely yours with custom hand-stamping—completely complimentary! You’ll get to practice on a silver test strip before stamping your actual piece. Choose from numbers, letters, and curated motifs.
For custom illustrations, Kanji, or fine details, optional laser engraving is also available.
Transform the flat strip of precious metal into a circular ring band. Since bending metal takes a bit of elbow grease, you'll use tools like a wooden mallet to gradually curve it into shape.
After forming the ring shape, the joint is soldered with a torch. You will complete this step alongside our master artisan.
*Note: For Platinum 950, this process is performed entirely by our craftsperson due to certified gas welding safety requirements.
At this stage, you will work with several tools to smoothen and polish the surfaces of your ring.Here the ring shines so beautifully that it reflects the surrounding scenery.
Additionally, by applying processes such as lathe work and milling, it is possible to recreate wonderful quality comparable to a custom-made engagement ring, despite being handmade.
Our expert artisans will solder the setting to your ring and securely set the gemstones.
While this highly technical process usually requires outsourcing to specialized workshops, MITUBACI has professional jewelers permanently on-site. This allows us to complete the intricate work on the very same day, so you can take your finished ring home with you immediately.

Diamonds are evaluated using an international standard known as the 4Cs: Carat, Color, Clarity, and Cut—each representing a key aspect of the diamond’s quality.
MITUBACI uses natural diamonds of the same high grade as those found in custom-made jewelry. For diamonds ranging from 0.1ct to 0.3ct, we provide stones that are F color or higher, SI-1 clarity or higher, and Triple Excellent cut or better.
For diamonds 0.5ct and above, you can choose the grade based on your budget. A certificate of authenticity is included as proof of quality.
Carat is the unit used to measure a diamond's weight; 1 carat equals 0.2 grams.
Diamonds are classified between D (colorless) and Z (light yellow); MITUBACI offers diamonds with F color or higher, which is classified as "colorless".
Clarity is an evaluation of a diamond's transparency. It is broadly divided into six categories. In descending order of evaluation, they are FL, IF, VVS, VS, SI, and I. They are further divided within each category, comprising a total of 11 grades.
The GIA Diamond Clarity Scale has six categories, some of which are subdivided, totaling to 11 grades.
MITUBACI offers diamonds that are SI-1 (inclusions can be seen under 10x magnification) or higher.
Cut is an evaluation of a diamond's balance, symmetry, and polish. While color and clarity are the innate properties of a diamond, cut is an evaluation of the workmanship. The cut is divided into five grades: Excellent, the highest grade available at MITUBACI, and Triple Excellent, the highest grade for overall evaluation, symmetry, and polish.

Besides the classic plain finish, you can choose the popular hammered finish, which brings out the craft feel, at no extra charge.
Our artisans shape the ring on a lathe, giving it an even, beautiful, high-end finish reminiscent of a made-to-order ring.

You can add textures not only to the surface of your ring, but also to the sides! Side textures add extra detail and charm to your jewelry, allowing you to appreciate your craftsmanship from every angle. (Side textures are complimentary.)
Just like other workshop menu at MITUBACI, customers may engrave their names and initials, special dates, or even messages at no additional cost. You can choose between hand engraving by yourself with metal stamps for an enhanced handmade vibe and hand engraving with engraving machine done by our artisans for a neater result.
Alternatively, you may opt for laser engraving to include Japanese, Chinese, emojis, or handwritten characters on your jewelry (additional charges will incur).
