Travel by bus (alternative route)

During morning rush hours when the Denentoshi Line is not in service, the bus may become crowded and you may not be able to get through.

In this case, you can take the relatively uncrowded 渋51 bus (bound for Wakabayashi Terminal) and get off at 代沢十字路 (Daizawa Jūjiro). From there, it’s about a 12-minute walk to Sangenjaya. The total travel time is approximately 28 minutes under normal conditions (including the walking distance).

Combine train and bus

If you can take the Keio Inokashira Line from 渋谷駅 (Shibuya Station) to 下北沢駅 (Shimokitazawa Station), there is another option: take bus 下61 bound for 駒沢陸橋 (Komazawa Rikkyō) and get off at 三軒茶屋 (Sangenjaya). Although it requires a transfer between train and bus, the bus runs approximately every 15 minutes, making this a useful alternative in case of an emergency.
